CVAB’s Vision

CVAB’s vision is captured in three significant and unique expressions. These three expressions are Values, Purpose and Strategic Goals. CVAB also includes the national value of Recovery and its guiding principles as important for individuals and our community.

An empowered organization is one in which individuals have the knowledge, skill, desire, and opportunity to personally succeed in a way that leads to collective organizational success.
              - Stephen R. Covey
                Principle-centered Leadership

CVAB’s Purpose

CVAB will provide support and encouragement for individuals on their journey of recovery, and advocacy for progressive recovery and mental health.

CVAB will continually do this through:

    ...enhancing self-help and empowerment through support groups and trainings;
    ...operating a Warm Line;
    ...networking with other local, state and national consumer organizations;
    ...operating a Self-Help Recovery/Drop-in Center(s) for the community;
    ...educating the community about mental health and dispel stigma;
    ...and helping each person understand that they truly belong in our community and that their voices need to be heard.

CVAB’s Values

As a community, CVAB holds four values or expectations. They are the three R’s of Respect, Responsibility and Recovery; and the all-important consumer leadership. These values are the baseline that all other decisions are built upon.
